Re: PSA Honors (APSA; FPSA; Hon. FPSA) they are awarded for 
service to  photography and to PSA in particular, but also for one's 
record of personal  achievements in the fields of writing, exhibiting,
presenting programs, lectures,  judging, organizational work, etc.
over an extended period of time.  And as for what gets the Medals 
-- anyone's guess is as good as mine, or yours.  The same slide 
or print can win the Gold Medal in one salon and be rejected in the
next. It's all part of the challenge and fun of entering the salons.
