I have thought of doing this and has been on my list of project(or)s
to try out. However I have done some preliminary work last year with
a regular 50mm SLR lens and a 12V DC halogen lamp. Projecting a 2-D
image on the wall, it was comparable in brightness to a 300W V-M 2-D
projector! I haven't yet tried getting another lens to try projecting
3-D but it looks promising.

They don't have too! You can make your own attachment by taking
one of those flashlight type 2-D V-M projectors sold in stores
and convert it to project with your TDC. Just saw off the lens
head and battery compartment and sandwich the V-M carrier where
the normal carrier fits. It works! Check digest 1988 for a rather
long post, but simple explanation on how to go about doing this.
