Stupid question: can *all* 35MM cameras take slide film?
I'd like to get started cheaply (also haven't been able to find a Realist
in the Boston area; Hunt's, bromfield st shops, etc. forget it), but I don't
want to shoot prints (by the way, can I really get a Realist in decent shape
for $150, or would that be a fluke?).

Could anyone recommend a cheap 35MM camera (cheap = ~ $40) suitable for
twinning/slide shooting? As for quality, I've got a $50 Kodak cameo which
takes decent photos; decent enough for me - I'm no professional. It's the
cheapest camera I could find which can take up to 1000 speed film, has a
self-timer, and a tripod mount. But the distance between two of these
cameras' lenses would be more than 2.5".

Do any disposable cameras have slide film in them?

How much does a Realist weigh? Since I want to do stereo photography while
on holiday, and living out of a backpack, weight is a consideration as well.
I try to travel as light as possible; also don't want to have it be a crisis
if the camera gets stolen, or I drop it off a cliff.

Kind Regards,

      X.
