Not being familiar with the Revere, I don't know what and where the rings
are. Are they for filters? If I get a filter stuck on a lens, the answer
is not to grip the ring, which just compounds the problem, but to put the
lens face down on something like a rubber mat (the back of your mouse
pad?), press down firmly, and turn the whole lot. That invariably frees
the filter.
