I have recently picked up a few Canon FD lenses - two 50/1.8 and one
135/3.5 (to go with my existing one); initial tests seem to show an almost
perfect match between similar lenses. Even the 50/1.8 and my existing
50/1.4 appeared to match, but I thought it best not to mix'n'match to that
extent. Whether this is luck, or just evidence of excellence in Canon's
manufacturing, I couldn't say, but might be worth considering.
