P3D Hong Kong Pentax K1000s

I was very interested in the info
from Boris on different places of
manufacture,(China, Hong Kong,
Taiwan Japan etc) and consequent
variations in, Pentax K1000s.
I have one I bought about 20 years
ago , and another I bought last
year for my daughter. They are a
wonderful camera to learn with, 
given the capacity to control everything
manually. Boris's note has however 
put paid to my plan to try twinning my 
two.

I was even more worried to read in Rob's
>correction< that Hong Kong > no longer
exists<. Did I miss this news? I lived there
for many years, and one of my children
was born there.  Is Rob suggesting that
because Britain no longer runs it as a
colony it ceases to be? Or did theBrits
sink it before they pulled out? ;-)
