I have twinned two Olympus OM2s, oriented bottom to bottom. The Zuiko
lenses are incredible; they make pictures that are vastly better than
any of my 7 other stereo camera (Realist, Kodak, Ricoh point and shoots,
VM PSC).
Trouble is that with the lenses parallel, close up portraits are
practically impossible -- so much parallax error that faces get cut in
half.
So I made my own toe-in vertical mount: two thin board joined on
their leading edge by two hinges. A spring at the back pushes the boards
open; a bolt/wing-nut to oppose the spring and adjust toe-in; a small arm
is calibrated and marked so that you can adjust the toe-in for various
subject distances.
Results: excellent. I use the thing for indoor shots and not only
don't I mind the keystoning, I frankly don't even notice it. And when
you consider that the alternative in not to get the shot at all, it's a
great deal.
