P3D Spacers for twin 2x2

In digest 2597 someone asked about spacers for 2x2 slides.
The late Howard Frazee of Los Altos CA gave me samples of a spacer he designed
and suggested that I consider manufacturing them. They were hand made from
aluminum stock which he had on hand(venetian blind material I believe). They
were simple but time consuming to make manually. Tooling cost was prohibitive
and I could not locate anyone interested in using them. One fellow made his
own spacers from cardboard and scotch tape.
I still have some and will offer them to whomever would like to see them
and/or consider further development of this concept. My own feeling is that a
glass mount in this format is a better way to go. Apparently few people are
still aware that the 116 will handle this format.
I once pointed this out to Jerry Walter, PSA Stereo Division Aids and
Standards Chairman. His response was that he was not about to require every
salon to retool their equipment to accept this format. So there it stands>
