I think one of the chief things that make these work is that they are
projected on a large enough screen that most of your peripheral vision ALSO
sees the screen. When your eyes tell your brain that things are pretty wild
out there, the brain assumes the other senses are missing something and
tries to wake them up and make them feel it, too. Or something like that.
The sense of things zooming toward you can also be enhanced by shooting
with a wide-angle lens, or by slightly speeding up the action.
