Does the mounting jig automatically correct for the aperture
alignment problems you identified with the 5P mounts? In
addition to that problem, the Spicer mounts I have also show
some irregularity in the vertical edges of the aperture, which
causes visual disturbance when trying to fuse the images. These
problems are not cured by mounting accuracy.
Do you use Spicer mounts for the slides you enter in club competition?
I think the Spicers are great for high volume mounting of everyday
slides, but don't think they are appropriate for slides intended
for projection. Maybe you have a better batch of them?
