I kinda like it myself. The overlapping image is good for knowing EXACTLY
where the camera's window is set. When I first got my Toshiba I kind of
agreed that the flickering was annoying, but I got used to it and made USE
of it instead. Sorta like previewing a mounted slide as you're taking it.
If I were to suggest an auxillary viewfinder modification, I'd suggest
a stereo one. Something along the lines of the Sawyer bi-lens viewer
with shutters built into it. I probably wouldn't buy one, but I'm sure
they'd be very popular accessories and would look cool. :)

There's some good PR... The sales guy and the engineer arguing in front of the
customers. :) I'd believe the engineer. The design is gonna be like having the
left camera about 2.5 (or so) inches further away from the subject than the Right
camera. Call it 1/4' for the sake of round numbers. At 10' that's a 2.5% difference in
magnification. Realistically though, most of what you're shooting is gonna be
that 10' or so away. Much of this problem is (somewhat) defeatable by backing
away from the subject and zooming out. You lose some 3D, but get rid of the
magnification problems.
