It's annoying but it's a reality. I will reiterate my post to John Vala:
Computer 3D is 3 dimensional, it's the OUTPUT that is USUALLY
non-stereoscopic. Unfortunately, we are again in the minority. Most people
who are into the 3D computer programs refer to STEREOSCOPIC 3D~ 

3D is pretty generic, but stereoscopic isn't. (I vote for stereoscopic over
stereographic.)
