P3D Re: computer generated images

PSA has made an official ruling that computer generated images 
are to be judged along with non-computer images rather than in 
separate sections.  However, after seeing the 3D computer images 
in recent salon catalogs I wonder if this should be so -- or perhaps
I am just jealous because I haven't learned how to create these??
