P3D Partitioning a Hard Drive

Sorry Guys! I sent a response to an item on Hard Drives before I had
finished reading the P3d and discovered the comments towards the end
that this may not be appropriate for P3D. Put it in if you want, but I
feel there has to be some open-mindedness about these topics, since ALL
photography is entering the computer age. For those stereo photographers
who are interested in digital manipulation, topics concerning computers
are very relevant and important to their work. There are people out
there who want to transfer film images (negatives and transparencies) to
digital to use in their photography (including 3-D) for a variety of
reasons and they need help. Computers are not just used to create
totally computer-generated images (that's not photography in my opinion
- just 3-D), but by using programs such as Photoshop (your digital
darkroom) you can enhance and improve your own film images. I've entered
digitally printed images in competitions before (with mixed results),
but they have been my own images scanned in and manipulated just as if I
had gone into the traditional wet darkroom). Please be tolerant of the
computer questions as this is the NEW darkroom.

Respectfully submitted,

Andrea S. Blair
