Using the same kind of reasoning, virtually *anything* related to photography
(for example) would be admissible.

Certainly hd partioning/formatting schemes are relevant to people doing
digital
manipulation of 3D images, but only insofar as they are relevant to *anyone*
manipulating images whether 3D or otherwise (and whether photographic or
otherwise). And there are more appropriate mailing lists/newsgroups for such
topics.

This group, in my estimation is pretty tolerant generally (a little more
than I'd
prefer sometimes). I think a line has to be drawn somewhere.
