>Well .... that's putting rather an extreme interpretation on my words but
I
can see how you got there.
The flip side of your question is that if anything related to photography
is fair game because all photography has general relevance to 3D then
there is nothing to distinguish this group from any other general photo
group.
(Seems to me the same reasoning would apply to any specialised photo
group).<

My interpretation might seem "extreme", but its really the logical end of
the slippery slope that begins with "You can talk about 3D on computers,
but not about the software necessary to achieve it or the disk
configuration necessary to store it, or the memory necessary to manipulate
it, because that's all related to computers, not 3D," or "You can talk
about 3D photography, but not about the film speeds necessary to record it,
or the depth of field necessary to make it work, because that's all related
to photography, not 3D". Some of the extended discussions here might SEEM
"unrelated" to someone who isn't interested in that particular aspect of
the subject, but if there are two or three people who ARE interested in the
subject, just go on tot he next message and forget about it. It it is only
tangentially concerned with 3D, it will undoubtedly peter out in a day or
two.
