I disagree, for what it is worth.
I think a separate digital group consisting of postings on digital image
processing, digital cameras, digital display, scanning, and generating
hardcopy from digital data would be an approach worth considering.
My reasons is either you do these activities or you don't. There are
already routine complaints about the size of P3D digests and daily email
and the inclusion excessively technical or narrow matter. Since you can
partake in many forms of 3D without "going digital", P3D will assuredly
stand on its own, in effect returning to what it once was. It will
remain the source on basic techniques of acquiring 3D data, composition,
meeting notices, etc. as well as any other topics not covered elsewhere.
Another approach may be to simply declare that all "digital" = T3D to
get a feel for the volume without changing anything. After all, Bob
Weir gets to do the work and if it is not necessary ......
Finally, there is DR. T's advise ...."make liberal use of the delete
key!"
Regards,
John
