DYNAMITE

I, too, remember Dynamite magazine (boy, do I feel old!). I wonder what
happened to all the anaglyph glasses I had!

BLACK BACKGROUND TIP

When shooting subjects where there is a dark background on each of the
left and right edges (such as tabletop still life or night photography),
make sure the first one or two photos on your roll are of a well lit
subject which goes from edge to edge. If your film starts off with
anything with a black background, the lab cannot see the dividing line
between the photos to properly set the machine to cut and mount your
slides, which usually results in the frames being slightly off (in some
cases as much as half a frame) and your photos are cut in the wrong
place. If you are shooting for 3-D and have several consecutive frames
where the subject is in different places from left to right, some of
them with the subject closer to the middle may be saved, but anything
near the edges will be ruined. There's nothing worse than slaving over a
set up and getting back mounted slides of half a flower!
