Actually, this can be a serious problem!  Many machines and editors have
built in time-base correction which can contradict the left and right
'flagging' of the fields which was stored on the original tape at the time
of recording.  (Several of the entries in last years 3D video competition
were almost un-watchable because of this.)

The exact nature of and solutions to these problems are very dependent upon
the equipment used, from the camcorder to the copy deck, to the edit
controller.

Because the Nu-vision adapter is presumably using the camcorder's internal
clock to select fields, your original tape may be fine.  But during
editing, if professional equipment (with synch) is not used, you may have a
50% of creating pseudo images at every edit point.
