P3D Unusual slide projector

I found in a used camera equipment sale an unusual stereo slide projector. 
The label says "Pola-Matic Stereo projector, Model 600" It was distributed 
by Hornstein photo sales inc., Chicago. The shape is a cylinder 13" x 9" in 
size. There are vertical, focus, and horizontal adjustment knobs on the 
rear with manual slide feed from one end of the cylinder. The lenses are 
contained within the cylinder. It has a green crinkle finish on the metal.
  
>From all the knowledgeable people on this list, is it worth cleaning up? If 
I clean this projector, where can I find replacement light bulbs. There are 
two of them each about 3.5" long. They work for now but who knows when they 
will go out. 

I have only taken stereo prints up to now, but am interested in trying out 
slides. I only paid $20 for it so I won't feel bad if this is just junk.
