P3D 3D to 2D conversion

Don asks:

>non-sequential, normal VHS copy?

A "de-multiplexer" will strip off one of the two viewpoints, but leaves the
other field in each frame black. The resulting tape has a flicker which is
even more annoying than standard field-sequential, but it is 2D and may be
watched without shutter glasses.

Andrew Woods has a device that buffers one of the fields and plays it twice
into each frame. It is effective, but expensive.

And, many non-linear editing systems can digitize video in a "draft" mode.
This captures one field from each frame and buffers it in a similar (but
even more expensive) manner.
