Personalities and Places

This is the name of an article by Bill Walton, illustrated with
stereoscopic pictures (of course) in the latest issue of PSA Journal (April
98). In the article, Bill describes an interesting project, in which he
undertook to document people and places in Columbus, Georgia, where he
lives. According to Bill, "This idea surfaced when copying some cartes de
visites photos for a collector." He proposed the idea of documenting
people and places to Columbus College and obtained a grant and the help of
the college archivist allowing him to take the project to its fruition. 

This is just another example of Bill's tireless enthusiasm for stereo
photography and his successful work to popularize (again) this medium.
