On a similar note:
If you had Kodak mount your slides (pre-1986) they sent back self-adhesive
"STEREO - EXPOSED SLIDE FILM" labels (form P-32) with instructions "Attach
to Next STEREO Slide Film for Prompt Handling" also with red lettering on
white stock. These may be useful to folks who are currently having the NJ
Kodalux Lab or others mount their stereo film.

Same deal here. I don't have access to a scanner, but I have a pair
(stereo, after all) of these labels I could loan for such a humanitarian
cause.
BTW, I printed some labels for my film using fluorescent green label stock,
20 by 85mm (more or less) and stating "STEREO SLIDES - DO NOT CUT FILM!"
in bold black lettering.
This fits in the "special instructions" box on the processing envelope. I
don't put anything on the cassette itself. In the three years that I have
been using these labels, I haven't had a problem with any labs cutting or
trying to mount my film.
If it's a roll of Kodachrome, I add a label "KODACHROME SLIDES" also in
green, so the folks at WalMart photo distribution know which bag to toss it
in without having to open it up. Usual turnaround time is 8 to 10 days
from drop off. Cost is $4.88 and $3.88 for 36 and 24 exposure rolls.
Of course my experiences may reflect nothing more than dumb luck. If
you've met me, the dumb part is easy to accept.
Best regards,
Bill Davis
