P3D HP Slide Adapter

I received my HP slide scanning adapter this weekend but have found that
using it 
with my Epson Action Scan II scanner, all of my scans are very, very
green.  The
best we have been able to do is a passable B & W.  The scanner does
beautiful color
scans of photographs.  Is the intense, unfilterable green a function of
this scanner
or are we doing something wrong?
