P3D Re: V-M Stuff

I frequently use both the Mark II and the Personal -- to me, these cameras
are simply tools for taking pictures and each tool is better-suited for
certain results. So, it pays to own and use both.
I use the Personal only for close-ups (with the attachment lenses), or as-is
for short-distance telephoto shots (e.g., dashboard of a car roped off at a
show). I use the Mark II for everything else. Probably 80% of the time I
use it with wide-angle lenses (I have modified a Ricoh finder to give me
accurate wide-angle framing), necessary for interiors and shooting in crowds.
If could own only one, it would be the Mark II. Shorter lenses, faster
lenses, faster film advance, immune to light-leaks and shutter bounce,
mid-roll rewind, cold shoe and X-sync for flash, etc., etc.. But, slow top
speed (1/60), fast bottom speed (1/30), a bizarre focal-plane shutter which
doesn't lend itself to motion shots, and lots of internal reflection.
I don't project V-M much, but when I do I don't find the poor alignment to
be a major nuisance (the projector has a vertical alignment knob). After
all, poor alignment is noticable in a viewer, too!
