I tried your JPS vs. PNS test site with DepthCharge and I 
could find very little loss of detail between the PNG 
based PNS images and even the high compression JPS (JPEG). 
I was surprised at how large the PNG files are in comparison 
to the JPG. When I first learned of PNG I got the impression 
that it compressed well and was in the same general range as 
a JPEG with low compression. Your test site shows that PNG 
is not likely to take the Web by storm, at least not until 
the bandwidth problem is solved :-).

By the way, will there be an upgrade of DepthCharge? It 
works on my home system, but not at the office-- thought 
that maybe a newer version would work with more video 
boards.
