Rats! My wife and I went up (from NYC) to Boston this past weekend
specifically to go to NEFFA (the New England Festival of Folk Arts,
great music and folk dancing) and Photographica. Between a horrible
trip up on Amtrak, a screw up at the hotel, and all the running
around, we were both under the weather by Sunday morning and decided
to leave early and skip Photographica.

I heard there was a lot of 35mm stuff. How was the selection of
medium format and large format? I was thinking of picking up a Crown
Graphic (for monoscopic LF field work) or a pair of Isolettes (to
merge like Sam Smith's 3D Hacker page).

NEFFA had plenty of 3D opportunities. There were Morris (and Sword)
Dancers performing all day long outside the event (held at the Nattick
High School), and various other forms of dance (Contra, Line, Square,
etc. by performers and with instruction) indoors in the various gyms.
I didn't bring cameras with me because I hadn't expected outdoor
activities (I've never been to NEFFA before) and I haven't solved the
flash problem yet with my twin Lubitels. I'll know better next time.
