The Keystone-Mast collection is at the University of California,
Riverside, if I remember correctly. If the negatives were originally
made before approximately 1920, they would now be in the public domain
under current copyright law, assuming they were "works made for hire",
that copyright was properly filed for and subsequently renewed, and
various other legal technicalities.
The tough part would be getting access, I'd think. Most collections of
that sort have restrictions on use (such as "scholarly research") which
might stand in the way of a commercial enterprise. And then, of course,
there's the question of who'd you sell them to. Is there enough of a
market to justify the time and expense? Personally I think they'd be a
fascinating item to have, especially if they were "real photograph"
(i.e. photo print) reproductions.
