Remo - the most recent version of the FAQ is terribly out of date. 
We do, however, have someone who has voluenteered to put together
a new one, although a "call for submissions" hasn't been issued yet.
In the meantime, your best bet is to circulate around the 3d-ring and
look at stuff there.
