P3D scanned slides part 2`

I didn't get enough light from the battery fluorescent light so I went to
the store and bought a under the cabinet one for about $7.  It is 60W.  It
worked fine, the slide scanned very well, bright and true to color!  Not
done yet....this light had a plastic cover over the bulb that has ridges
and the ridges show on the slide slightly so I have to make a smooth cover
or use no cover for the bulb.  I plan to build a box around the light
fixture to hold the slide better, etc.   
Any one try this method...?
