Yes indeed!!!!  Unless of course, it's *SO* good a concept it won't get
done.

I only wanted to test the easy-case.  That is, just pure .jpg's of
each page made with a single whole-page brainfree scan.  Which is what
I did.  Other than maybe changing 120dpi to something lower, it looked
pretty good to me as a baseline to work up from (it'd need at least
a top level structure added, probably in html with article summary info).

That much seems like it could be quite useful as well as practical
to produce.  Something that could actually be done (assuming originals
could be borrowed for scanning of all issues, including the old ones).  
If manpower can be allocated for something even better, then great.  But if 
not, this baseline easy  method looks pretty decent and doable.

I'd assume that a color scan of a color page would produce similar 
results (other than having a bigger file than the 256-gray scale I
made my previously referenced test-scan with).

P.S. - I had set the scanner-driver's moire filter to "art magazine"
       as my one and only guess and trial-case.  Seemed to have worked
       reasonably well.
