I agree.  And don't forget a lack of fear.  When I was a kid, I used to
take all my toys apart to see how they worked, while my playmates would
shake their heads at my "ruining" them.  Were they ever astounded when
not only did I reassemble them, but most of the time they even worked.
:-)

If you don't take risks, you can't fail... but, you won't break new
ground, either.
