Hi and welcome to photo-3d!  Your enthusiasm for stereo
photography is impressive inddded!

One quick comment:  You appear to appreciate optical quality,
using very slow print film, quality processing, and superb
SLR lenses (which, as you say, beat the crap out of the
older stereo cameras :-)).  Then why settle with inferior
viewing optics?

You should try a stereoscope with achromatic lenses for the
ultimate in quality viewing.
