Regarding Costco/Price Club:

Don't forget that they sell five packs of 36 exposure 100 ASA
Ektachrome Elite II film for $20.99. That is half of what you can get
it for in any photo shop and about the same as B&H without the
shipping cost.

I have never used them for E-6 processing as I have a local lab do it
for $3.59 for a 36 exposure roll and have it the same day or early
the next at the latest.

My wife and son do use them for their print developing. If they are
not in a hurry they use mail away lab (Kodak processing) with a 2-3
day turn around time. If they are in a hurry they use the in-store
one hour lab (Fuji equipment). As with any one-hour lab, the quality
is totally dependent on who is running the machine. If you are lucky
you can find someone who will take extra care and steps in processing
your prints. My son uses a pair of twinned Olympus XA's that we
bought from Joel Alpers at Rocky Mountain Memories. We have asked
that they match the color and exposure in both rolls. So far they
have done an excellent job.

By the way, my son uses Kodak Max film with the cameras set to 800
ASA. I have been very happy with the final result. There is no
evidence of grain in the final product when mounted and viewed with
the View Magic viewer. If anyone has had doubts about using such a
fast film I would highly recommend giving this a try.

Thanks for the time,
