P3D Re: Red vs Green Button Optics
He is back! Sam the Hacker writes:

I don't think anyone ever said that the red button has better optics.
I believe some people said they found the red button easier to use.
There was an opinion that the two viewers had the same lenses. I
believe that the lenses come from different suppliers but are of
similar good quality with a possible edge in contrast in the green
button as Sam's observations confirm.

One problem with the AC/DC operation is that, unlike the Kodaslide viewer,
the GB needs a battery adapter (which holds the 2.5 V light bulb) to use
with batteries. This is sometimes missing. In my Realist green button
book I suggest a solution for this using Radio Shack parts but going
from AC to DC is not very convenient with this method. Also, the frame
surrounding the lenses is thicker which makes viewing 7p harder (for me)
with this viewer. Other than that, the Realist green button is a fine
viewer IMO.
