Although it does block the width of even a mounted 7-P image, it doesn't
block all of it or even most of it. Note that the width of the carrier
needs to be compared with the opening width of a mount, not of the
film-chip (unless one drops naked chips into the projector), and the
mount openings are a bit smaller.

So, 7-P with a "close-up" mount may work w/o any problem at all. :-)

P.S. - What I'm mostly saying is that if one has a 7-P camera (I do)
and "only" a Compco Triad projector (I do) then one isn't out of
luck when wanting to project it. Go ahead and do it (I do) and it'll
work okay. It'll be like movies on TV which aren't in "letterbox"
format, which is to say "horrible to a purist" but okay-fine for
everybody else who just wants to see it. :-)
