I also have a TDC Vivid and the frames overlap, however when I
looked closely I noticed that one frame is actually WIDER than
the other and that the overlap seems to leave a full 5 perf
width if you crop it out when you mount. I assumed the camera
was designed this way, or perhaps it is a result of the looping
of the film that allows the lenses to be closer together. Maybe
the overlap is less when the film is tightly wound? I haven't used
the camera much so I haven't tested these questions, but one frame
is definitely wider.
