Bill Davis thinking out loud says!!

I've been carrying a stereo camera for about thirteen years, shooting on
business trips from Calgary to Chicago to Atlanta and family vacations at
some of the busiest tourist attractions and theme parks along the east
coast, including three week-long visits to Disney World.

(I admit that when I'm in public I often flaunt it a bit, strolling along
with my front flap open, :--)

Over the years I've only had a dozen or so comments or conversations
regarding the camera while parading it around, with some people who knew
what it was ("Hey, stereo!") and some who wanted to know ("Huh? Stereo?").

I have never bumped into nor seen another random human carrying or using a
stereo camera outside of stereo events or swap meets.

Not once, ever.

Well Bill about your problem with your front flap open. If you always remember
to "XYZ" you will solve this problem, If you consider it a problem. ;-)

We were visiting Disney World and getting on the Swiss Sky ride the attendant
noticed my Realist and as we glided away across the park he yelled those are
"GREAT" Cameras. Don't know what his knowledge of the Camera was from but he
did know what it was.

I was also at a Boy Scout National Meeting and while standing in line for
food, low and behold the guy standing a few people behind me had a Kodak
Camera hanging around his neck. We both noticed each others Stereo Camera
about the same time and exchanged addresses.

One other time I used to deliver to industries around the state and after
having been going to a place for a few years (3-5) I guess. Getting to know
the guys that would help unload we always talked about small stuff then One
day I or the other Guy mentioned 3d photography, or Viewmaster or something
and after knowing each other for a few years we finally realized that we both
were Stereo Camera users. By the way the other Guy was none other than the
"FAMOUS" Bill Davis. And the rest is photo history.

Well those are a few other stories to add to the file.

Thanks for Noticeing Me.
Marty
