P3D TDC Project-or-view

Hi,

I recently bought a TDC Project-or-View at a camera show and
still had a few questions that an extensive search through
the archives didn't answer (although the search did answer a
lot of questions I hadn't thought of yet).

1.  My POV came with a selectron carrier.  Is this the same
carrier that works with the TDC projector?

1a.  The carrier does not quench light between slides like
the carrier in my Compco Triad.  That is the screen did not
go dark between slides; it looked like when you forget to
put a slide in the projector carousel and the screen goes
very bright.  Is this normal or in the carrier missing a
piece?

2.  An earlier posting by Dr. T (Nov 17 1997) mentions an
even earlier posting by Harry Poster as to giving tips with
how to clean the projectors.  I could not find the earlier
posting in the archives.  Does anyone have the digest
number?

3.  My POV appears to need a new cord.  Does anyone know a
source for these?  The existing cord looks like it was
sculpted from an old coffee maker cord and will need to be
replaced.

I hope some of you experienced POV users can give me some
help.  Thanks a lot.
