P3D Re: Digest 2751 NSA Convention at the Marriot

Hi,

Some of you have expressed concerns over the lack of rooms at the Marriott.
 Let me tell you from several years of experience that the
problem is NOT a lack of rooms but it's trying to use the hotel's 800
number system.  This same problem occurred at the Holiday Inn in Rochester
in 1996 and at the Doubletree in Bellevue in 1997.  

The 800 number reservationist sees that there are rooms "blocked" and they
consider them "booked".  Two different things -- as we all know who are not
in the hotel business -- but, nevertheless, the problem for all of this
confusion.

Please call the Marriott directly and you can get rooms for the days you
need without any problem.  I've also alerted NSA President Larry Moor that
this problem has resurfaced its ugly head and we need the hotel to get its
act together.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused to folks planning on attending
this year's event.
