I cheked my information the binoculars and monoculars for fitting to Exacta
cameras were actualy made for them by Steinheil from about 1961 and
specialy designed for photographic picture taking. The binoculars were also
used with twin lens reflexes of the Rolleiflex type which is probably why
they were made rather than for stereo use ,presumably one lens was for
taking the other for viewing. Actualy they could probably be used for a
number of different cameras because they fixed onto the lens with an
adaptor ring corresponding to the diameter of the filter mount which should
be more universal than the different fittings for camera bodies. The focal
length was equal to the product of the focal length of the lens and
binocular. Assuming the binocular and monocular were the same they were
6x30 angle of view of 8.5 degrees field at 1000m of 150m and brightness 28
pupil diameter 5mm weight 230g for the monocular. When fitted on a 58mm F/2
Biotar lens the focal thength was 350mm P.J.Homer
