The package on the Peanust Slave I bought last week says, "Plugs directly 
into Vivitar 283-285 strobes..."  Only it doesn't. 

I called Wein Products about this, (213) 749-6049.  

 The lady at Wein said, "Yes it does."

  I said, "I've got it in my hand.  The shape of the Peanut plug and the 
Vivitar plug are completely different.  The Peanut just falls out of the 
Vivitar flash."

  "Oh...we'll get back to you."

   My guess is it never fit, but saying it does moves merchandise.
