P3D silver reflective paint: help!

Hi all,

I'm having a rough time finding the archives at the moment and I need an
answer fairly quickly if anyone can help.  I seem to recall a discussion
about making your own 3D screen out of, say, sheetrock and silver
paint.  Does this work or would you need some kind of ribbed/lenticular
material?  And what kind of paint would be best?  Any
help/answers/experience would be tremendously appreciated.
