=22I am working on a fluorescent AC viewer (tabletop). It will
use the cheaper lights which are subsidized by power
companies. I modify them from socket borne fluorescent.
I'm told their is a source for cheap battery powered
fluorescent but I haven't found it.
Has anyone out there made a viewer using LED's? I'm told
this may work and they don't draw many amps but I'm not
convinced that they can be made to be bright enough.=22
I am thinking about making a multiple format stereo=20
viewer which will use a Light panel containing=20
=22Luminescent illumination by an inverter-driven,=20
flicker-free fluorescent lamp=22. This lamp is balanced=20
for 5000k or daylight and uses a 2.6 mm cold-cathode
tube. It runs on 4 AAA batteries or an AC adaptor. =20
The panel is sold as a portable light table and is beautiful
but not cheap.
