The basic idea is to file the cutting faces flat.  The archives have a bit on
how to dissassemble the cutters, but it involves bending some of the metal
clips.  

Mine was so old the clips broke when I tried it.  It works fine, but the
automatic transport mechanism (My term - Scratch-0-Matic) is now broken and I
need to line each frame up by hand.  The good side is I have a sharp punch and
have never scratched a frame since.
