Gary,
Let me 'splain my reasons for allowing Kodak to do all my slide
processing and mounting. Their names are Bryan (4) and Kevin (1 1/2).
There is nothing daddy can do and nowhere daddy can go that these two
will not get into if the project looks at all interesting. If I tried
cutting and mounting my own slides, I'd have two boys under my feet, in
my lap and/or on the desk grabbing everything and trying to put it
together "just like daddy".
Now, while I love my boys and, at times, even enjoy having them "help"
me with a project, I can just see film chips scattered across the floor
because one of the boys grabbed my sorting tray and flipped it off the
desk. Then there'd be yelling and crying and hurt feelings and sore
rear ends, etc...
I wish I could sit for hours on end like Dr T. (okay, minutes on end
:-)) and mount stereo slides. However, right now it's a lot easier to
have them already mounted and ready for viewing. That way we can all
sit on the couch and pass the viewer around. And, when the slides go
flying across the floor (as the will, guaranteed!), I can just pick them
up and put them back in the box.
Besides, any free time I have w/o kids underfoot seems to start around
11:30pm. And, after a busy day at work, I'm starting to see double w/o
the aid of stereo views :-)
Ron
