P3D Re: PHOTO-3D digest 2790

I am designing a new 3-D projector to utilize the Widelux format slides of 65
MM width. Screen size should be app. 8' wide X 3.5' tall.  I have all the
optic formulas down, but have one question that maybe someone can help me
with.  I have a Stereo Vivid projector, and note that the polaroid filters are
located inbetween the last condensing lens and the slide plane.  What about
placing the filter between the slide and the projector lens?  If placed just
after the condensers, can one mount the polaroids in glass to  protect them.
Also, as to heat glasses--location:  1. between the lamp and first condenser
or 2. inbetween the two condenser lenses?   Will appreciate help or ideas on
this.
