Andrea, your idea might encounter some resistance from other club
members! ;-) As I recently mentioned, I am completely convinced
that focus-only adjustment is best, but I don't expect all the
Potomac club members to agree to instantly change the way things
have been done for (presumably) a long time. Perhaps an intermediate
approach will need to be suggested as a fall-back. When I visited the
May meeting, there were two separate sets of slides projected. (I
don't know if that is the case at all your club meetings.) The first
set was called the "novice" division. As an alternative to going
"cold-turkey," it may be useful for your club (and others that use
full adjustment to help beginners) to segregate the beginner slides,
and allow more adjustment for the beginners. But a limit of 1 year or
1/2 of a year should be considered for eligibility for this beginner
classification. The "beginner" adjustment-allowed projection could
be a separate set of slides at each meeting, or it could be, for
example, once every third meeting, whatever is appropriate for the
particular club.

Note I am *not* recommending the above for clubs that already have
focus-only projection.
