Bill,
Concerning question 2: you use both windows. Take the first shot with 1
in upper window, the 2nd shot with again 1 but then in the lower window,
then your 3rd  with a "2" in upper window, then your next shot with
again "2" but now in the lower window etc. Clear?
Wonderful camera. Took some very beautiful portraits from my daughter
and in Sweden near the Stockholm opera from the bust of the greatest
tenor of this century: Jussi Bjoerling. Excellent results!
