P3D View Master Personal and viewers

Are there any smart VM types here, because I have got some questions
for you! If you can answer my questions, I'll give you a kiss*.
I bought a VM Personal and subsequently returned it because of
fogging problems and now have another one which suffers from the same
problem. Some of the film chips, which are not cut or mounted, have a
bit of fogging across them. The fogging is a milky white. It is
wider than the chip and is about the same height, but it is lower than
the chip; there is a top portion with no fogging, and the fogging
extends beyond the chip into the perforations, vise versa on the top
row. Does this happen on all VM Personals? Or am I really unlucky?
I hear, from the all wise Dr. T that this is probably a light leak
(you'd think I could have figured that out) and he said that maybe
somebody on this list has had this problem and might be able to help
me fix it. There are also two fogged spots on the film, there are red
in colour and are circular(ish). One is in the middle of a picture
and the other is at the edge of one, ruining all four in the cluster.
All the pictures were taken outside, in the sun with no case on the
camera. Please help me somebody. I don't know what to do! And my
warranty is running out!
Next, I want to know about viewers. What viewer do you prefer to look
at your reels with? Is the Model D all it's cracked up to be? Do
they still make the Model N (new lighted viewer), I can't seem to find
one anywhere. Is there a list of the viewer magnifications? How does
the Model L compare to the older ones?
Finally, projectors. I was thinking about getting a Stereomatic 500
(in the unlikely event that I find a Personal that works) and was
wondering how large you could project without grain becoming
noticeable, if I shoot Kodak Elite II 100 asa (it's cheap here).
*kiss offer applies only to buxom young women who are currently single
and love stereo. Preferable a red head, who likes Cadillacs, not the
new types, my 21 foot '72 that gets 8 miles to the gallon.
thanks for reading all the way down to here
Jeremy
